Chicago Critical Mass
10th Anniversary Ride

September 28, 2007 at 6pm

10 Years Long: Thousands Strong! The Delay Plaza Rides started in September 1997, so September 2007's ride promises to be Xtra special. Tens of thousands of cyclists from all over the world have gathered by the Chicago Picasso the Last Friday of the Month to be treated to a taste of urban biketopia few other cities can deliver.

This has become bigger than all of us; some are intimated by our size and claim we're a bit reckless, and some even have gone as far as claiming we should make this the Grand Finale. However, a decade of bike magic has created a force of human nature that cannot be stopped. In NYC, the police still crack down on Critical Mass rides. In Chicago, Critical Mass is synonomous with "HAPPY FRIDAY!" Word on the street is that even Mayor Daley wants to ride with us and join in on the Chicago Critical Mass 10th Anniversary Party. Not surprising, the Daleys have been promoting cycling in Chicago since the early 1970s, take a trip back in time.

Come on out to a Pre-ride Posse Party gathering. Small parties/gatherings will be held all over Chicago before the ride. These are open gatherings, so just show up.
Here's the current list. Contact ccmxinfo@chicagocriticalmass.org to get your gathering added.
