June 26 Mass 09'

I have to agree with the previous post about this being my worst experience thus far in all of my years of "Massing". To me the entire purpose of the 'Mass' is to be out in large numbers and to move around downtown on the more popular streets in unison, to be noticed as a collective. Michigan ave should be a no brain'r. This last mass was mostly on unpopulated roads and we seemed to be heading west into less populated parts of Chicago. This 'Ghandi' person who was the leader was new to me, and I'm left wondering how he came to be the leader of this flock so quickly, and let's not forget the massive police presence, to which I also had not seen before.
It was almost as if he were in cooperation with the police and notifying them of every single move the collective was making. And let's not forget to mention stopping the entire herd at every single major intersection, I'm all for stopping occasionally to 'mass-up' with the herd, but at almost every single red light???? C'mon!!
I hope that this was just a spoof, I don't expect every mass to be perfect, but I fear that this new police involvement along with this new leader that is possibly an officer as well, will bring an end to the true purpose of this spectacular event.
