Stay together in large numbers and try not to break up into smaller groups, would be my observation. Sounds like someone hijacked the ride or there were no maps distributed. The CPD have been infiltrating the rides as long as I have been doing them (nearly three years), however the bike coppers usually don't try to route them. That comes into play downtown when the squad cars and wagons try to push the ride up west or north. My experience has been that as long as we don't try for an expressway or LSD we can hang around the crowded areas all night. I would like to see more bike riding and less bunching into smaller streets. Also, on the the nude bike ride the police did not really route us because there was a map, however they did do a slow speed chase into Lincoln Park in that they were at the very front and that was very boring!!
