Drivers Earn Charcoal in their Stockings this Year....Bah Humbug!

Got there at my usual time and as I came upon the big tree I was thinking...Where is everybody? Circled around the plaza and then started to see people arriving. As usual, the hang before the ride is always cool (this time literally). Once we got going things started to warm up. The ride went north and into Lincoln Park which was great because I have never ridden up there and really haven't spent much time there in over 30 years. Lots of changes....The music from the anti-war guy (who's for it) was GREAT so I stayed at the back. Police escort from behind and no sirens or loud speaker comments from them....NOW I will drop the other shoe. I believe that many motorists are F'N CRAZY. From people taking down their windows (from their warm cars?..dah) and shouting out crap to us to a final incident at Cortland and Ashland in which a driver decided to not let someone cork the intersection and ran over his bike. 911 time and I hope that she is in jail and spends a lot of her BMW SUV $$ on making her problem go away. Think anger management drivers!! Xmas is supposed to bring out the best in people, however our ride seems to bring out the worst in drivers. Where are these fools going? On to an expressway so that they can sit in a parking lot for two hours until they get back to their little burb to hide?? Oh well, Merry Xmas to all bicyclists and to all a good night..See you at the end of the month...Peace...
