Drivers are Party Poopers for the Pre NYE Ride

The crowd at the Daley Plaza was as usual, cool. Nice Xmas lights on the replica Schwinn bike and thanks to the Derailleur girl for the calendar. It was a fun ride downtown up and down Boul Mich, Rush St. and into Old Town. Kudos to the "corker" in the bandana. This guy was great with his "Mr. T" comments to drivers. Absolutely cool dude. The waiter downtown at DEVON'S seafood restaurant who brought out soup samples was the best. I will be back for dinner soon. Things were cool until just West of Halsted on North Ave.

Interesting evening.

* Photographer on hand at Daley Plaza covering a story about Critical Mass/winter biking/night biking. Watch the Sun-Times for further details - looks like we are getting more press.

* Good ride - spontaneous routes are sometimes more fun than planned ones. The lack of music definitely stood out, but enthusiasm and human-powered sound were there to compensate.

* Stopped at Quencher's and got to catch up with a number folks in whose company I hadn't yet spent much time. Very enjoyable.
