Critical Mess

I don't think I need to describe the altercations with the police any further. Everyone has probably heard about (or experienced) it by now.

I'd just like to give big props to the small group of bikers that finished the Mass together. We were joking that by the end of the ride, the mass would be so small, we'd need to take a class picture. About 150-200 of us broke through after the incident at Canal and Roosevelt and rode together, losing a couple riders here and there. We made the decision to turn east at Division and head towards the beach, but hardly anyone came with us. We got to the beach in a group of about 20-30 and relaxed there for a while, until we saw the rest of the mass coincidentally pass by us on Lake Shore Drive. Needless to say we all flew up the beach, onto our bikes, and back into the pack, taking over LSD until we all went onto the beach together around North Avenue.

I took pictures of the latter half of the ride (starting with police roadblocks, ending with our "class photo" on the beach), but the flash on my camera stopped working, so they are all a bit dark. I attached a picture of one of the officers who arrested us at Roosevelt and Canal.

Good job and big thanks to the small mass that rode all the way to the beach. A few of us even went swimming. Hope to see EVERYONE there in September for CCMX.
