There were two of them, however I will explain further down. Our ride went ok as we followed the map (only got one that was passed out by the guy with the wheel on his helmet). The rain took away the on lookers down south, however the police split after awhile. I didn't see any "police directing" like the former commenter. It was more like OK you are going to stop here? or you are going to turn here?

This was the saddest mass I've ever participated in.
Such an oppressive police presence, I felt like I was on some sort of work release bike program...
Imagine 3-4 dozen riders with full-on police escort, bikes and cars (I kept looking up waiting for a ghetto-bird to blot out the sky as well). Corking was unnecessary due to the fact that we were lead and herded through one intersection after another by cops.
